Bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application by working on projects that will be used by real people to improve their businesses.
Having a co-op experience on your resume can make you a more attractive candidate to future employers. It demonstrates that you have practical experience and a commitment to your field.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop and refine technical skills such as programming, debugging, and working with software development tools.
UDA senior developers have years of experience and will be available to provide insights and answers to help you succeed throughout your co-op experience.
You’ll gain insight into how a software company operates, including its culture, team dynamics, and project management processes. This knowledge can help you make informed decisions about your career path and future job preferences.
Performing well in a co-op program can lead to a full-time job offer or internship opportunities after graduation. UDA uses our co-op program to identify and recruit future employees, and the majority of our senior developers are former co-ops.
Gain hands-on experience in developing web services and project management software at UDA Technologies. Work alongside our software development, sales, graphic design, and marketing teams in our Auburn office. Ideal candidates are motivated, possess strong communication skills, and have a background in software engineering or computer science. Familiarity with web development, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and other related technologies is a plus, but we’re here to help you grow and learn.
As a co-op, you’ll contribute to coding, debugging, and creating new components for our expanding software suite. You’ll also provide advanced application support, evaluate customer needs for new features, and collaborate with our team to drive innovation. This is a chance to apply your skills in a real-world setting while developing new ones in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Every co-op completes a comprehensive starter project that helps to familiarize them with our code base by completing discrete tasks. Co-ops meet regularly with senior developers throughout the project and get detailed feedback.
Our senior developers and designers are available to guide and mentor co-ops throughout their terms. Whether through review meetings or over Slack, co-ops benefit from the many years of experience our developers have.
Once our co-ops complete the sample project, they move on to hands-on projects for the ConstructionOnline platform. From initial prototypes to the final QA review and approval, co-ops get a true software development experience.
The close proximity of Auburn University to UDA - combined with the high quality of its computer engineering program - has led to a natural partnership with UDA over the years.
Auburn co-ops enjoy the unique opportunity of working for a world-class software provider, without the hassle of a long commute.

“You get to see the behind-the-scenes of what it takes to provide a quality service to real customers who will use the changes you make in real time. UDA also showed me that although learning the fundamentals of programming is important, being able to apply yourself and solve problems is far more valuable.”
“I learned how to work on a large scale project. Nothing I did in school ever came close to the scope of the website at work.”
“It’s really good for bridging the gap between school projects and things you’ll actually do in the industry, because school is just fundamentals.”
“UDA has helped me immensely with becoming a competent programmer - from the guidance given during the starter project to different tasks delegated to suit my skills, I have learned way more than I would have had I only stayed in school.”
